National Park Team Blogs
Hello all, my name is Malachi! I am currently serving as one of the Ministry Team Leaders at Yellowstone National Park. I am 24 years old and I hold a Bachelors of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia where I attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University. I love to read, write, and get to know people. I also love hiking and just enjoying Mother Nature in general. I look forward to sharing my wonderful Yellowstone adventures with you!
My name is Zach and I'm from a little bit of all over, but I currently call Virginia home. I just graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and I love biking, running, painting and music. Growing up, my parents always took my sisters and
me to visit the national parks as often as we could, which ultimately instilled in us a sense of wonder and awe at God's creation. God has
helped me steward my time this summer with a placement on an ACMNP team at Grant Village in Yellowstone, and I am excited to enter into the
ministry He is orchestrating there.
Hey everyone! I’m Bethany, and I just finished my junior year at Calvin College studying writing and Spanish. My hometown is Rochester, New York, so I’m incredibly excited to be spending this summer across the country in California. I have a tendency towards being snarky and a well-developed ability to find humor in unusual situations, as well as a love for smoothies, the outdoors, and classical music. I’m trying to learn what it means to love people well and deeply in the middle of these crazy college years. I don’t have set plans for the future, but God is showing me, day by day, the depths of His love, faithfulness, and grace.
My name is Meghan Barker and I am from the beautiful state of Colorado! I am currently pursuing degrees in Environmental Studies and Political Science at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and hope to go into wilderness preservation or natural lands protection after I graduate! God has showed me that Creation knows no bounds and that He is present everywhere. I am ecstatic to take my passion for God and the environment to Glacier Bay in Alaska, where I know I can help people to see His light in the wildness of the “The Last Frontier.” When I am not exploring outside, I can be found listening to country music, making DIY crafts from Pinterest, and hanging out with friends!
Hi! I'm Abbie! I'm a 21-year-old adventurer from Jackson, Mississippi. I recently graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in journalism and English writing. I love reading, singing, laughing, and traveling to new places. The Lord has given me a joy for life, and I want everyone to know about how awesome He is! I look forward to sharing what God does during my time at the Grand Canyon North Rim this summer, and I hope He uses my words to impact others as well. Follow me as I explore this beautiful setting and learn more about the Creator in the process.
Hello friends! My name is Brady Field and I'm from the small town of Tonganoxie, Kansas, about 45 minutes outside of Kansas City. I'm going to be a senior next year studying Bible and leadership at Manhattan Christian College and English education at Kansas State University. In my free time I love to run, go exploring, hang out with friends, read great books, and sit in coffee shops with my laptop and pretend that I'm a writer. I'm also a music junkie and a self-proclaimed Scrabble champion. On a more serious note, I have a passion for discipleship and caring for others. Overall, I am excited to serve with ACMNP and see what God has in store for me and my team this summer!
