In light of ACMNP's diverse constituencies, a broad profile of credentials and abilities is being sought with full recognition that no one will have all the qualities that are listed below. (List reflects no particular priority.)

• Experience with ACMNP as a student/seminarian
• A passion for National Parks and wilderness settings
• A high capacity to engage and embrace young people who serve with ACMNP in the parks
• A seminary degree and recognized church ordination (desired, not required)
• An acute theological understanding with ecumenical sensitivities
• Able to preach well and lead others in worship
• Experience running a business (including the operational, financial, and HR aspects)
• Experience relating to government organizations, their policies, and personnel
• Experience raising substantial funds through donor base development
• A good supervisor of and mentor to employees
• Student ministry experience
• An understanding of a conservation or public land ethic
• Able to create an environment for honest and open communication
