The Board of Trustees of A Christian Ministry in the National Parks desires to hire their next Executive Director to begin work in the spring of 2008. This allows for the incoming Executive Director to overlap and travel with Dick Camp (the current Executive Director) during the summer of 2008.
Candidates should begin the application process as soon as they know they are interested in being considered for this position and should have all their documents submitted by December 17, 2007.
Candidates must submit:- A letter of interest that articulates how your previous work and ministry experiences have particularly prepared you for the role and responsibilities of the ACMNP Executive Director.
- A resume
- The names, titles, phone numbers, and emails of five references.
In addition, please answer the following questions, so that the Board members may get to know you better. Answers may range from a paragraph to a whole page.
- Describe your personal journey of faith and how you keep it deep and strong.
- Describe the process you used and the role you played to develop and implement a vision for a program/ministry/organization you were leading.
- Describe your experiences working in ecumenical settings.
- Describe your response to work situations in the past where there is more to do than time to do it.
- Share a few thoughts you have about the ministry opportunities and cultural challenges faced by today's church.
- What are you doing when you are really energized and having fun?
Candidates being seriously considered by ACMNP will be asked to complete additional questions and participate in a SIMA evaluation conducted by People Management International. SIMA, the System of Identifying Motivated Abilities, was developed by People Management more than 40 years ago to ascertain patterns of motivated work behavior in individuals, and to predict the degree of job fit between individuals and new roles and responsibilities.
